Hi Larry, Gordon Young is about the only one I associated with during my senior year.? He lives about 5-6 housed away from me.? The Young's were very interesting people.? His dad sold upholstery fabric from all over the world as I remember.? His mother was a 35mm photographer with probably thousand of pictures.? Seems every time I went to his house she was showing pictures, so interesting, but I never liked history until lately in life.? They were always going to Travel Logs.? I think now they were pretty well to do because of traveling all over.? We both went to Grand Rapids Junior College and took history and I barely passed and he got straight A's.? Have not seen or heard from him since, in fact I have never heard from anyone from Ottawa until a few weeks ago.??I received a letter from Dave Furtney about the reunion.? I think when I read 50 years, that was the biggest shock in my life. Sorry I will not be able to attend.? I married a dutch girl in Grand Rapids, later moved back to my hometown Indianapolis
, Indian actually Carmel on the north side of Indianapolis as that's where my family was born and lived.? Twenty eight years ago we moved to Cape Coral Florida?between Ft. Myers and Sanibel.? We are now retired from the music business.? Its been interesting reading all the posts as I do vaguely remember some of these names.???Robert (Bob) Allen Batty

Geez. this is getting to be TOO much! I never new Rupert or anything about him
except that his mind operated on a plane mine hadn't ever contemplated. Gordon
Young I remember from several classes. The clearest recollection is from a
first-week-back-in-school class (probably Mrs. Haven's 7th grade social studies)
oral report on "What I Did This Summer." He calmly stated to the class that his
family had travelled to Europe and had docked at Le Havre, France. Cripe, my
family thought a weekend trip to Ottawa Beach was a real treat; and where the
hell was Le Harve,France anyway? I guess I lived on the wrong side of Franklin
St. but never realized it. Anyway, keep the stories coming! Larry R.
