After reading the list of who is coming to the reunion and who won=E2=80=
=99t be
there, indicated by letters, I began to think about what is it going to be=
like to be there. I figure it will be about me with 100 strangers, with=
names
that sound familiar.
Most of the four hours will be filled with discussions about what
operations we have had, how many grand-children we have, what diseases we=
have
faced, how often we have been in jail, how many partners we have had, when=
our
last divorce was, what medications we are on, when we last filed bankruptc=
y,
and what we are doing or did do for a living.
It seems to me, that if Jim Thomas would do so, a chart with our names and=
some additional letters would get rid of some of the small talk, and let=
us spend more time getting to know each other again, after 50 years. Much=
like Jim did to help indicate who would be there.
Here are some of my suggestions.
J Number of times in jail
T If you are currently a transsexual
C The number of time you have had cancer, (requires a number)
M Number of marriages you have had
G Sexual preferences, either g Gay or s Strait
B Number of bankruptcies you have filed, to date
K Children. You need a number with this of kids
H Original hair, and if you still have any
S Senile or not, if you can remember
K Cane or not, (I already used the C) includes a crutch
E What education degree you have, Ottawa doesn=E2=80=99t count
D If you still have a driver=E2=80=99s license
V If you are Viagra dependent, or even a recreational user
A Number of arteries still working
F Number of foreigners you are or have been married to
I Independently wealthy, now or at any earlier time
R Are you now or have you ever been a rock star
P Are you currently on parole
T Have you been in a 12 step program
CD How often you cross-dress on a weekly basis
Any additional suggestions would be welcome, and maybe it would make the=
reunion easier as we get together and we can avoid those topics.
