The Ottawa Hills High School (Grand Rapids, Michigan) Class of 1959 is exploring the possibility of a 70th reunion in
the summer of 2026. Yes, we can do the math and realize that this wouldn't actually be the 70th, but we also follow the adage at
our ages: "Don't buy any green bananas." Nearly half of the 247 classmates in 1958-59 remain more or less accounted for, so
we will be reaching out to as many as possible in the fall to assess interest and feasability.
The venue would likely be the Grand Rapids Double Tree Hilton at 28th street and Patterson where we held the 50th Reunion.
It provides fairly inexpensive rooms, excellent catering, and a short distance from the Airport for those flying in or out.
We know that many former classmates have moved out-of-state (especially Florida) and that travel might be difficult. So,
if there is enough interest in having one in Michigan, we could also include an event available on Zoom for those unable to
attend in person.
Our past reunions have been great fun, lots of food, and lots of intermingling and catching up.
